    Kate graduated in Medicine from the University of Otago and did her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Prior to medicine she taught at the University of Otago for 8 years. She has done a Masters in Physiology, which had a focus on Reproductive Endocrinology. She is involved in all aspects of fertility care, but has a special interest in the management of recurrent miscarriage, high risk pregnancies, endometriosis, uterine fibroids and advanced laparoscopic surgery. She is dedicated to helping those with fertility issues and finding an optimal management plan. Her ability to easily build rapport means that she can support couples in what is often a difficult and challenging time.

    Kate is consulting at Fertility Associates Dunedin and undertakes her private Obstetrics and Gynaecology practice out of their facilities. She also practices as a Obstetrician / Gynaecologist in the public sector at Dunedin Hospital.
    She does outreach clinics in the wider Otago region and performs private Gynaecological surgery at the Mercy Hospital in Dunedin.

    In her spare time Kate enjoys running, biking and skiing in New Zealand’s beautiful outdoors.

  • Dr Laura Frampton

    Fertility Clinician

    MSc (Dist), MBChB, PGCertWHlth, DCH, FRNZCGP

    Laura initially studied a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology and Toxicology then Master of Science before spending three years at the National Poisons Centre.

    She went on to complete Medicine at the University of Otago as she wished to pursue her passion for helping people from a health perspective. Since finishing medical school, she has obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Women's Health, a Postgraduate Diploma in Child's Health and is currently working toward a Master of Reproductive Health.

    Laura is a fellow of the RNZCGP and splits her time between General Practice and Fertility Associates giving her a holistic approach to her practice.

  • Emily Ware


    Bachelor of Science (Hons) Psychology, Post Graduate Diploma (Psychology), currently completing a Master of Science.

    Emily Ware has 10 years’ experience assessing, developing and implementing programs and applying her counselling skills as part of multidisciplinary teams to assist a broad spectrum of people. Emily’s areas of expertise include applied behaviour, positive psychology and well-being.

    Emily joined Fertility Associates in Dunedin in 2018 where her role is focussed on supporting women and men through fertility treatment as well as decision making around alternative ways to form a family such as donor conception, surrogacy and fertility preservation.

  • Rebecca Wilson


    BSc Human Nutrition, BPhEd Sport and Exercise Science, PgDip Sports Nutrition, MDiet, NZRD

    Rebecca is an experienced New Zealand Registered Dietitian (NZRD). She studied Human Nutrition and Physical Education at the University of Otago before going onto complete her Masters of Dietetics. Rebecca also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Nutrition from the International Olympic Committee.

    Since completing her studies in 2014, Rebecca has supported a wide array of clients across the private practice, sports, clinical and public health settings. She joined Fertility Associates in 2018 offering lifestyle advice and support for weight management, conception and pregnancy.
